Korean Restaurants are the most popular Korean owned business excluding Korean dry cleaners and laundries in New England area. However, the numbers of Korean Restaurants have been decreased.

According to Boston Korea's phone survey of New England Korean businesses from August 5th to August 16, 10 out of 70 Korean Restaurants in New England have been closed.

There are only 60 Korean-owned restaurants in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.
Korean Restaurants that have been recently closed are Kaya, Ume, Minsok, Lee's, Han River New Seoul Barbeque, New York restaurant, Asiana Grill, Brothers restaurant, Sushi King etc. Lee's changed their name into Lee's Grill and Yumi is not operated by a Korean.

After Ashinayo and Jinmi groceries recently closed, there are 15 Korean grocery stores in New England. Massachusetts has the most amount of Korean grocery stores with 12 stores, there are only 2 stores in Rhode Island, Mirae and Asiana groceries. Eunhae market was the only Korean food market in New Hampshire.

Even though it is not a buisness, there were 87 Korean Churches in the directory and 32 churches were closed. There were 20 Korean educational institutions and 5 of the institutions have been closed.

Boston Korea updated the directory with the most recent changes and it was posted in the 33rd edition of Boston Korea newspaper.  If there are any left out or wrong business information, contact Boston Korea at 617-254-4654.
